We find the land, shape the plan and put the financing together, so that good, affordable homes can rise where Hudson Valley communities need them.

Our story

Every neighborhood starts with a plan

Landmark Peak Development is a new company, being formed now to do one job well: turn a promising piece of land into a project that can actually be built. That means patient work long before the first shovel goes in the ground, from walking sites and listening to neighbors to sitting down with town boards, architects and lenders.

We believe affordable housing should look and feel like it belongs. Our approach is to plan homes that fit their surroundings, are close to jobs, schools and transit where possible, and are designed to be lived in comfortably for decades.

We work alongside Hearthmont, the nonprofit sponsor of each project, so that every plan stays focused on the families, seniors and working people the homes are meant for.

What we do

From a promising site to a project ready to build

  • Site search and acquisition

We look for land and existing buildings across the Hudson Valley where new homes make sense, and negotiate to secure them.

  • Feasibility and due diligence

We study each site’s zoning, environmental conditions, utilities and access before committing to a plan.

  • Community and municipal engagement

We meet early and often with neighbors, town and village officials and local organizations, and adjust plans based on what we hear.

  • Design leadership

We assemble and guide architects and engineers toward homes that are attractive, accessible and efficient to run.

  • Zoning, planning and approvals

We prepare applications and see each project through planning board, zoning and environmental review.

  • Financing and capital structure

We put together the layers of financing affordable housing depends on, including housing credits, public funding and private loans.

  • Project budgets and schedules

We set realistic budgets and timelines and keep every partner working from the same plan.

  • Completion responsibility

We stand behind each project through construction and into opening, working closely with the builder and the property manager.
